Farm for Thought: A student-run urban farm on the UNBC Prince George Campus

Proudly owned + operated by PGPIRG, Farm for Thought produces pesticide-free food for our community and creates hands-on learning opportunities for students.

In the summer (harvest) months, the Farm is taken care of by student Farm Coordinators. All produce is sold at the Prince George Farmers' Market, to local restaurants, and in our Good Food Box program.

Throughout the year, PGPIRG hosts agriculture-related workshops to facilitate knowledge-sharing amongst local growers. We also develop age-appropriate activities aimed at teaching school-age childen & youth about food systems and food production.

As a non-profit organization, PGPIRG vows to direct all Farm revenue towards continuing to build the program!
