Farming Program

This is proudly owned and operated by PGPIRG. We grow pesticide-free vegetables and herbs for our community while providing hands-on farming opportunities for students.

During the summer harvest season, Farm Coordinators manage the site. Our produce is sold at the Prince George Farmers’ Market, to local restaurants, and through our Good Food Box program. We also create educational activities for UNBC Active Minds campers to learn about local food systems.

Throughout the year, PGPIRG hosts workshops on growing food, composting, and DIY sustainability projects. As a student-directed, non-profit organization, all produce revenue is reinvested into maintaining and developing the Farm.

Local restaurants interested in purchasing produce can contact our Executive Director at pgpirg@unbc.ca.
